Wednesday, a Broward County, Florida jury awarded Flo Rida $82.6 million in his breach of contract suit against energy drink manufacturer Celsius, whom he claimed attempted to conceal revenues from him. This is over 2000x than the original amount he was just demanding for!
According to TMZ, the 43-year-old rapper initially filed the lawsuit in May of 2021, alleging that the parent company of the beverage company, Celsius Holdings Inc., had violated previously agreed-upon terms of a 2014 contract.
The native of Carol City, Florida, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, initially claimed he was owed $30,000 for the breach of contract, but the amount grew as the company's fortunes improved.
He told the Associated Press that essentially, he helped found this company, and all they did were to look for trustworthy people who acted like family. After attaining their success, they simply forgot about him.
Attorneys for the beverage company stated that its success occurred after the endorsement agreement with the Right Round artist ended and was due to other business-related factors.
The company still has the opportunity to appeal the jury's verdict. In lieu of the $82.6 million awarded by the jury, Flo Rida's attorney John Uustal stated that the Whistle artist was open to accepting a one percent ownership stake in the business he was initially promised. Flo Rida Uustal stated they loved the product, and it's been a very successful four-year relationship.
They said that the rapper was expected to acquire stock when certain events occurred. And there was a dispute over whether or not these benchmarks had been met.

Flo Rida stated that he continues to be a stockholder in the company, with whom he would be willing to collaborate in the future.
"I'm still a owner in the company," Dillard said, the AP reported. "And when you basically planted the seed for something that is successful, you can't help but have unconditional love."
In light of these reports that the rapper won a $82 million lawsuit against Celsius Energy Drink, Flo Rida's wealth in 2022 and 2023 is naturally of great interest. Celebrity Net Worth estimates that Flo Rida's net worth in 2023 is $30 million (£24 million). Imagine the growth when the award pushes through!
According to online reports, the 43-year-old rapper and musician had a similar net worth in 2021 and 2022, although his current wealth may increase significantly after being awarded $82 million in damages.
Flo Rida, in his career, has collaborated with prominent musicians such as Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, and Timbaland. His most popular songs are Right Round and Whistle. Low, a song he recorded with T-Pain that peaked on the Billboard Hot 100, helped his debut album Mail On Sunday (2008) make waves in the industry. Only One Flo (Part 1), Flo Rida's second studio album released in 2010, featured T-Pain, Ludacris, and Gucci Mane. The album also featured the rapper's hit collaboration with David Guetta, titled "Club Can't Handle Me."
