Sam Asghari, the husband of Britney Spears, posted a video of himself taking an ice bath on Wednesday, a day after the pop star made headlines for referencing her previous relationship with Justin Timberlake. Was he hurt about his wife's actions? Did Britney Spears truly disregard his feelings by doing this?

Asghari, 28 years old, posted a clip to Instagram Stories in which he used a device called the Ice Barrel to fill a barrel with water, ice, and Epsom salt before entering the barrel.

The Grammy-winning artist's 41-year-old spouse, who denied she had a "manic meltdown" at a restaurant in Woodland Hills, California over the weekend, wore only black shorts as he acclimated himself to the frigid temperature inside the barrel.

The actor and fitness expert from Tehran, Iran first stood in the apparatus for a few seconds before sitting down and submerging his head in the water.

As he entered for a second time, he stated that the practice, which appeared to take place after an intense workout he posted on social media, was "very soothing." Asghari said, "Oh s***, it's cold," adding three hysterical laughing emojis to his post.

On Tuesday, Spears posted throwback photos of her relationship with Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from early 1999 to early 2002, on Instagram.

The "Lucky" singer shared a slideshow of herself and her ex-boyfriend at a 2001 celebrity basketball game. During the charity event held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, the celebrity wore a white Knights jersey and baggy shorts. "When we used to shoot hoops TOGETHER ... that's when miracles happened," she captioned two photographs from the event.

However, it appears that the rest of her caption has nothing to do with the *NSYNC alum and is instead a plea for equality and normalcy. "I came out of my mom's stomach just like we all did !!! Psss ... why always cast me out ??? I'm as equal as all !!!" Since then, the Instagram post has been removed.

The "Gimme More" singer began dating Timberlake in 1999, as the pair rose to fame independently after co-starring on Mickey Mouse Club. The couple dated for three years before breaking up in 2002 amid acrimonious circumstances. The exes have maintained a generally cordial relationship over the years, with Spears even dancing to his song "Filthy" in an Instagram video from 2020. "PS I know we had one of the world's largest breakups twenty years ago... but the man is a genius!!!

She wrote, "Great song JT!!!! ", to which he responded with approving emojis. Following the 2021 premiere of Hulu's documentary Framing Britney Spears, Timberlake was criticized for his post-split treatment of Spears, specifically his portrayal of her as a cheater in his "Cry Me A River" video, prompting him to issue a public apology.
