After a fan went from the second-floor balcony during his New York City performance, Canadian rapper Drake allegedly stopped rapping.
The horrific occurrence occurred on Sunday night at the 36-year-concert old's at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, according to a Twitter video provided by HipHopTies.
An unknown male fan fell from the second-floor balcony into the center of the orchestra pit at one hour and thirty minutes into the performance, just after Drizzy invited 21 Savage on stage to sing their songs.
According to Insider, a member of the venue staff went straight to the two rappers to explain what had transpired.
Drake told the audience, "Just gotta make sure somebody's okay," and left the stage for about 15 minutes.
Security guards raced to the scene of the man's fall to make sure he was okay while the "In My Feelings" rapper was away.
The lights on the Apollo were also switched on, and a loose light fixture was taken out. Before Drake and Savage 21 returned to the stage to continue their performance, the cords that were left dangling over the mezzanine wall were fastened once again.
Then a venue crew member announced over the speakers, "Everybody is absolutely okay."
"They are being checked on. Nobody's hurt. But I got even better news for you: We're at the Apollo so the show must go on."
After rejoining the stage and joining 21 Savage in singing "Her Loss," Drake teased the crowd, saying, "I feel like they had to wait 10 minutes; we should go up a little more."
Drake praised his supporters for coming to the stage and apologized for the delay caused by what had happened before he sang "Legend" to close the concert.
The former "Degrassi" actor's first of two scheduled performances took place on Sunday at the Apollo. Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and NYC Mayor Eric Adams were among the prominent figures there.
Drake Music Video Featuring $2.2 Million Diamond Chain
As seen by the music video for "Jumbotron Sh** Poppin'" from his collaboration album with 21 Savage, "Her Loss," Drake appeared to be bragging about his $2.2 million diamond chain that Pharrell Williams had possessed.
Mike Tyson and Lil Baby made appearances in the film, which also featured Drake living the high life while flaunting his pricey jewels, fast automobiles, and partying with ladies.
One of the flashy pieces of jewelry he displayed was a three-tone, 14-karat pendant chain with diamonds.
Given that Drake has a net worth of $260 million, the chain doesn't appear to have hurt his finances.
