A gunfire during the filming of a music video in Oakland, California resulted in the death of one person and the injury of seven others, according to authorities.
Witnesses informed television station KTVU that shooting erupted around 6 p.m. at a Valero gas station being used as a music video location. When police arrived at the location, they discovered no victims but dozens of shot casings.
Officer Kim Armstead of the Oakland Police Department stated during a press conference, "shortly thereafter, our communications section was notified of many gunshot victims who self-transported themselves to local hospitals." KTVU said that relatives of the deceased recognized him as 18-year-old Mario Navarro.
His cousin, Olga Navarro, told the media source, "I'm crushed right now." "He was very kind. He had an interest in music. He was excellent."
