Zara Larsson's new era is upon us, and in a new interview with MTV, the singer revealed who her top musical influences are and how they impacted her in finding her own voice.

Thanks to her songs "Lush Life," "Symphony," and "Never Forget You," Zara Larsson has solidified herself as one of the best pop acts that Sweden has to offer the world.

The 25-year-old singer is bound to release her new album this year, and her new single, "Can't Tame Her," popped off last Jan. 26, 2023, along with a cinematic video for the song.

In a conversation with NME at the Mad Cool Festival 2022, Larsson explained that she had some production work left for her upcoming new album.

"I shouldn't say that [it's almost done] because now people will expect [new music]; but it is," she told the magazine about her new album.

She explained that in the follow-up for "Poster Girl," she has collaborated with producers like Rick Nowels, who worked with Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey, and Danja who was responsible for producing for Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

Meanwhile, in a chat with MTV about her upcoming new project, Larsson also confessed who her musical influences are.

At the top of her list, was Grammy-winning legend Beyonce, who she banked on as the best performer of all time for her.

"She is the best performer of our generation. I would argue ever. I'm so lucky to be alive at this time and that I've gotten to see her live. She's just incredible. An incredible performer she can sing, she can write, she can produce, she can dance, she's such a boss, she's sop in control over all of her work," Larsson gushed. "I just loved her since the minute I discovered her. I really don't know when it was. It was like all of sudden she was in my life. And a very big part of my life."

She also went on to credit Beyonce for improving her work ethic, noting that when she's tired, she thinks of Beyonce who would "go one more time."

"The work ethic that you have to put in to make something good... She inspires me to really really work hard for what you want... You can have talent, but then it's the work you put in," she continued.
