They say legends never die, and in many ways, they really don't. Just look at David Crosby-his music lives on and is currently dominating folk album charts.

According to Billboard, the late singer's music re-entered the Americana/Folk Album chart, peaking at No. 5; it had 9,000 album units, up 238% in the week following his death.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young's 1970 album "Deja Vu" has always been a hit; in fact, in 2021, peaked at No. 4 on the same chart.

After its release in the 70s, topped the pop album chart for a week and it was also certified seven-time platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

However, aside from his massive-hit album, other music from the group returned to multiple charts.

Posthumous Release?

Crosby died on Jan. 18 at the age of 81, but by all means, he had no plans of slowing down with his career-in fact, he had planned to make a comeback to the music industry prior to his death.

According to Variety, Crosby was gearing up for a new album and an accompanying tour up which was supposed to happen in the summer.

During the pandemic, he was busy working with several collaborators, making sure that his comeback would be a massive success.

One of his collaborators shared an anecdote about the late singer, "David didn't think he was gonna last for years, which he joked about all the time. But there was no sense that we weren't gonna be able to do this show and these tours.

"There was not even a remote sense that we weren't about ready to hit the world. And it's a shame people didn't get to hear it. This was something else. This was as close to the original thing."

Although there isn't any word whether his upcoming album will be posthumously released, fans are hopeful that they get one last David Crosby album to remember him by.
