Isa Marie Presley was very adamant' that her legacy should be handed to her daughter Riley and not her mother Priscilla, according to a representative of her estate in the midst of a contentious inheritance dispute.

On Wednesday, which would have been Lisa Marie's 55th birthday, Joel Weinshanker stated that Riley Keogh, 33, should remain the sole trustee of the Graceland estate without dispute.

His remarks came days after Priscilla claimed she was disinherited in court proceedings that pitted grandmother and granddaughter against each other.

Lisa Marie succeeded Priscilla as the estate's trustee in 2016 with Riley and her son Benjamin Keogh, who committed suicide in 2020. The 77-year-old questioned the authenticity of Lisa Marie's signature on the amendment, but she told Fox News today that her top objective is to keep the family together.

Speaking on told SiriusXM's Elvis Radio, Weinshanker, a managing partner at Elvis Presley Enterprises, said that it was always Riley and Ben. There was never a doubt in her mind that they would be the stewards and that they would view the situation identically to her.

Riley was obviously profoundly affected by Ben's death.

Riley, a movie star and an award-winning director, has always had an interest in directing and has always known that one day she will be in charge.

Lisa Marie, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away on January 12 at the age of 54 due to cardiac arrest. She had attended the Golden Globes awards ceremony just two days prior. Her children Riley, Harper and Finley will receive Graceland through the trust.

Last week, Priscilla disputed the legitimacy of the 2016 addendum to the agreement. According to court filings, the document was never presented to Lisa Marie, the document's date is suspect, her name is misspelled, and Lisa Marie's signature "appears discordant with her usual and customary signature."

However, Weinshanker stated that he was coming out because "sometimes you have to take a position."

He stated that when Elvis died, he left everything to his daughter.

He did it with the knowledge that she would carry on his legacy. He said he can say without a doubt that regardless of what else was going on in her life and career, she has always looked out for what was best for Elvis, regardless of what someone else was trying to accomplish or what another family member was attempting to do.

Meanwhile, Priscilla Presley addressed the issue on the birthday of her daughter. Lisa would have celebrated her 55th birthday today. She said her only desire is to safeguard her three grandchildren and maintain the family unit.

She told Fox News Digital that from the moment she first carried Lisa in her arms, she had safeguarded, loved, and guided her. She now has to learn to live without her own child.
