Harry Styles took home the biggest award of the evening, Album of the Year, for his show-stopping album, "Harry's House."
The awarding of the most coveted award of the night was placed last to build momentum that would lead to the ultimate recognition from The Recording Academy.
Styles was nominated for seven awards at the 2023 Grammy Awards. His lead single, "As It Was," was nominated for Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.
The album, "Harry's House," on the other hand, was nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year, which he all managed to take home.
In the ceremony, Grammy host Trevor Noah introduced the crowd to a roundtable discussion of different fans of all ages, colors, and genders, about who deserves to take home the Album of the Year category.
Harry's advocate was a breath of fresh air from her usual fan demographic. 78-year-old Reina from Canada was the one advocating for Harry Styles' AOTY win.
Before Noah announced the final winner, he called on the ten fans onstage to honor them for their undying support for the nominated artists. As he announced, Noah walked towards Reina and let her read who the winner was - Harry Styles, "Harry's House."
Styles went onstage and gave out an impassioned speech about how winning is something new to him.
"I've been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me at a lot of different times in my life. I listen to everyone in this category when I'm alone," he said.
However, people on Twitter had different people in mind winning the award - it was actually Beyonce's "Renaissance" or Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti," they were rooting for.
"Y'all begged Beyoncé to come and played in her face!!!!! What Beyoncé did on Renaissance Harry could NEVER!!!!! She gave black LGBTQ+ people a voice and gave us one of the greatest albums of 2022!!!!! b-ch I'm mad," a fan posted.
"need beyoncé to stop submitting to the grammys altogether bc all they do is use her for views and snub her in every major category," another shared.
"#GRAMMYs of course the Grammys threw bad bunny in for album of the year just to say they respect Latino music, just for them to only give him the one Spanish Grammy and nothing else LMFAO," someone tweeted.
"I LOVE Harry styles but imma be honest that Grammy did not need to go to him fr like I love tht white man but it should've been bad bunny or beyonce," someone said.
How about you? Who do you think should have won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year?
