Drake's name is being passed around during the trial of the suspects who killed XXXTentacion.

Michael Boatwright, Trayon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams are the three men charged, and their defense attorney said that Drake may have been involved in the death of the "Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares" rapper in June 2018.

Each is accused of first-degree murder and claimed to have carried out the deadly shot outside a motorcycle shop in Florida.

In the wake of XXXTentacion's murder, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, the defense team's attorneys said that detectives overlooked the rapper's simmering feud with Drake.

According to reports, detectives decided against looking into such scenario since the prosecution claimed the shooting was solely the consequence of a botched robbery.

Furthermore, they insisted there was no evidence connecting the performer of "In My Feelings" to the tragic shooting.

Though X once said on social media that Champagne Papi would be the cause of his death, he later backtracked on the bold claim.

Witness On XXXTentacion's Shooting

Leonard Kerr, a friend of the rapper who was present in court on February 7, said that they were attacked by armed robbers as they were leaving a motorbike store in June 2018.

He described to the jury how he heard the gunfire that murdered the "Jocelyn Flores" rapper as he ran away in panic.

Leonard said that the two armed guys charged towards him and the rapper and that the taller man pointed a gun at him and urged him not to exit the car.

After XXXTentacion reportedly questioned the second shooter, "What's this for," as he attempted to take off his gold chain off his neck, Leonard made the decision to run and pressed the button to unlock the passenger door.

According to ABC News, Leonard told the court, "If I run, I can get shot, but I can live. If I sit.."

The taller man was apparently pointing a gun towards XXXTentacion when Leonard turned around, and the companion reported hearing at least two loud gunshots.

The $50,000 the rapper had in his fancy bag was taken by the men as they fled in their automobile.

Michael Boatwright and Trayon Newsome were the shooters. It is said that Dedrick Williams was the driver.

Robert Allen, who was discovered to be the SUV's fourth occupant, had previously entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder the previous year. He'll give a deposition in court accusing his old buddies.
