Rihanna literally shone "bright like a diamond" for her Super Bowl 2023 Halftime Show performance.

Days have passed since the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show happened, but Rihanna continues to become the center of attention because of her performance and a major revelation about her pregnancy.

But even the singer's fashion and style turned people's heads during and after her appearance.

Page Six revealed that the 34-year-old "Diamonds" hitmaker wore several pieces of jewelry for her performance, including a rare 19-carat ruby and a diamond ring from BAYCO. Per the news outlet, the two pieces alone are already worth more than $1 million.

In addition, Rihanna also wore diamond earrings by Messika Jewelry, highlighting her class even more.

Meanwhile, Hodinkees noted that the "Lift Me Up" singer also wore a Jacob & Co. watch with a rare dial and red leather strap that complemented her outfit. The piece reportedly has a total of 251 diamonds and a crown set with 30 round-cut white diamonds.

Rihanna wore the million-dollar outfit as she performed her hit songs including "Where Have You Been?," "We Found Love," "Work," "Umbrella," "Run This Town," "Wild Thoughts," and "Rude Boy," among others.

Why Rihanna Did Not Get Paid for Her Super Bowl 2023 Performance

While Rihanna seemingly spent a lot on her performance, it was revealed that she did everything at the Super Bowl Halftime Show for free.

In 2016, an NFL spokesperson told Forbes that they do not pay the artists but cover the expenses and production costs instead.

It was confirmed by the NFL's vice president of communications, Brian McCarthy, in a statement to Newsweek.

"The NFL covers all costs associated with the show and does pay the performers' union scale. There is no appearance fee, but the artists are indeed paid union scale," he said.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) determines the rates of the union scale - which refers to the minimum amount bosses pay the performers. The NFL also pays for the artists' travel fees.

As for the reason why Rihanna and other artists agreed to perform even not gaining much from it, the publication noted that being the center of the broadcast of one of the most-watched TV events of the year has positive effects on their earnings.

For what it's worth, Lady Gaga's "Joanne" album crawled back up to No. 2 from No. 62 on the Billboard charts after her 2017 performance. The same thing happened to Maroon 5, as the band saw an increase in their per-city average tour, from $200,000 to $1.7 million, after their halftime show performance.
