Mandisa is On Top of the Dove Pile

By the time the nominess for the 45th Annual Dove Awards had all been announced, Mandisa had racked up five - putting her at the top of the list with Hillsong United, Lecrae and Matt Maher.

She is up for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year (for Overcomer) and Short Form Video of the Year for "Overcomer."

If Overcomer wins, it will make the album a Dove winner as well as a Grammy winner.

With a new album coming out on September 16th, (Get Up: The Remixes) and the Dove Awards being in October, the early part of fall is going to be a busy time for Mandisa. The new album will be her first remix album and fans will find some of her biggest hits with a brand new sound. (Editors note: I've heard the new project and it is amazing!)
