Chloe has been working on her debut album "In Pieces" since 2019 and many fans can't wait to hear the complete record as it will be released real soon. As supporters continue to wait, the singer constantly releases singles to her fans' delight. However, her upcoming collaboration might have driven fans away; what happened?

According to Uproxx, the musician will be teaming up with controversial rapper/singer Chris Brown for the song "How Does It Feel," which will be released on February 24.

The 1/2 of Chloe x Halle took to her social media accounts to share a snap of her and the singer being sweet with each other. Many suggest that the photo is part of an accompanying music video, which will be released on the same day as the single.

After promoting her upcoming song on the internet, many fans immediately expressed their disappointment over the R&B superstar as she chose Chris Brown as her collaborator instead of other artists.

"chlöe there's still time to delete this we will pretend like we didn't see this there's still time," one wrote.

"Was really looking forward to the album after pray it away but now Chloe you can honestly f*** right off. Beyonce really fumbled with this one," another one wrote.

"this the worst career move she could ever make right now like she's gonna get dogged the same way Normani did and there's nothing I want or can do for her," another one expressed.

As of this writing, both singers have yet to comment on the negative comments they have been receiving online.

Chris Brown Timeline of Controversies: Why Are Fans So Upset?

Many fans have been boycotting Chris Brown for years as he had been involved in several incidents where he was allegedly violent towards women.

According to The Brag, his name went viral again amid last year's American Music Awards when Kelly Rowland accepted the award for Favorite Male R&B Artist on his behalf.

During the acceptance speech, many people in the audience threw boos at the singer, leading her to defend the embattled artist, saying the public should give grace and forgiveness.

It all began in 2009 when he assaulted Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to a felony that year and accepted a plea deal of community service, five years probation, and underwent domestic violence counseling.

In addition, he also stole a woman's phone after taking a photo of him in 2012, shoved a woman to the ground in 2013, forcibly eject a woman from his bus in 2015, and many more.
