Ellie Goulding is finally dropping an album after three years, and she has a lot to sing about-especially after being stuck at home because of the pandemic.
According to reports, the "Lights" singer is gearing back for another album release; this will be her fifth studio album "Higher Than Heaven" and it might just be her most explicit one yet.
Some of the songs off of the 36-year-old singer's album have been leaked, and it's pretty explicit, in fact, one of which is about her sex life with her husband, art dealer Caspar Jopling.
Goulding performed the song "Waiting for It" live in front of a small audience previously; the lyrics go: "We can f**k the world away/ I've been reconditioned into new positions/ Pouring you in my cup/ let it drip on my fingers / But it's never enough/ I want it again."
If that was not any more obvious, the singer then explained, "You can tell what mood I was in when I wrote this song."
New York Post reported that Goulding described her upcoming album being "about being passionately in love. But it's a hyper form of love, almost like a drug-induced feeling."
One could only imagine what she means by that, but perhaps it is simply because the singer is deeply in love with her husband.
Who is Caspar Jopling?
Goulding tied the knot with Jopling in 2019, three years after being introduced to each other by a mutual friend back in 2016.
Despite the explosive romance they are now currently experiencing, as per Goulding's song, she revealed previously that their first meeting was ordinary.
"It's not a particularly exciting story, sadly. It wasn't a love at first sight thing at all. We didn't fancy each other at all. We were just sat next to each other at dinner."
Despite their lackluster meeting, it seems like the pair hit it off because they eventually got married and welcomed their first child in May 2021.
Not much is known about their baby, mostly because they have not released any information about their baby.
It was Jopling himself who shared this tidbit through social media: "I don't ever address the public attention that comes with Ellie's job, but during this magical and personal moment we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy - Thank you."
