In 2019, fans were thrilled after Post Malone collaborated with Halsey and Future on the song "Die For Me" from his album "Hollywood's Bleeding." Today, nearly four years after its original release, the "Colors" hitmaker will drop her solo take on the track; when is it coming out?
According to Rolling Stone, the singer's original line on the collaborative track featured a rap verse about a cheating ex-boyfriend, seemingly about her relationship with G-Eazy.
After getting a blessing from Post Malone and Future, Halsey is now gearing up for the release of her solo version titled "Die 4 Me," which will be available for streaming on February 24, 2023.
"Next Friday I've got a little surprise coming. It's been long known in my fanbase that there's a demo of "Die For Me" with just me on it," the musician wrote on Instagram.
The singer noted that she performed the verse on tour and many fans have been wanting to hear an official studio version of it, leading her to finally release the project.
Concluding her post, the "Roman Holiday" songstress expressed her gratitude to Post Malone and Future, writing, "Big big thanks to @postmalone @louisbell and @future for having me on the original release and co-signing this version finally seeing daylight."

Halsey's New Song About Her Ex G-Eazy?
Per the outlet, Post Malone originally dedicated the track to people who have been struggling with an "adulterating spouse or s***** relationship."
He added that the song is a reminder that they are not alone and better days are coming in the future. Many fans have speculated that the track might be about the musician's ex-boyfriend, G-Eazy.
Months prior to the collaborative project's release, Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, took the "Saturday Night Live" stage to perform "Without Me."
During her performance, the big screen was filled with messages from an unnamed ex-boyfriend who confessed to cheating on her.
For her "Die For You" verse, the musician unleashed her true feelings about what happened, with lyrics that read, "should follow my gut/I don't play anymore, I went through your phone/And called the girls in your DMs and took all them home."
Halsey and G-Eazy's romance rumors began circulating in 2017 after the two performed the song "Him & I" together during the rapper's Bud Light Dive Bar Tour in New Orleans. They seemingly confirmed their relationship the day after by posting photos on social media with the caption, "Thank u baby."
However, more than a year later, Halsey took to her Instagram stories to confirm that they are "taking some time apart." (via Billboard)
