Ariana Grande has been rehearsing and filming "Wicked" for probably over a year already, and because of this, her fans have been patiently waiting for her to finish her responsibilities so that she could return to making music again.
Grande will be playing Glinda in the highly-anticipated musical film "Wicked," which will be directed by "In The Heights" director Jon M. Chu. She will star alongside Tony-winning performer Cynthia Erivo and Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Yeoh in the upcoming movie.
Since her hiatus in music, fans have been asking Grande for "crumbs" and to post a bit of herself singing from here and there.
The Weeeknd, Ariana Grande 'Die For You (Remix)'
While they are exceptionally patient and understanding of Grande's commitments, Arianators could not contain their excitement when Ariana Grande posted a TikTok video of herself recording her part in The Weeknd's "Die For You" on the studio.
"Wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14 hour day on set," she wrote, alongside a star and moon emoji. "this certain exception has to be made."
The Weekend tweeted Grande's TikTok video on his own account, which got both of their fans even more excited.
"Abel and Ariana are the best duo out there rn," a fan tweeted.
"YOU GUYS JUST NEED TO MAKE A JOINT ALBUM ONE DAY CUZ THERES NOTHING LIKE YOUR VOICES TOGETHER," another user asked.
"ABEL YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU RIGJT NOW YOU BROUGHT HER OFF THE FARM," someone posted.
"WE ARE GETTING A DIE FOR YOU ARIANA REMIX IM SO EXCITED," another fan commented.
"DIE FOR YOU REMIX WITH THE WEEKND??? OH MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER IS COMING," one said.
The Weeknd also reposted the video on his Instagram account, only captioning a teary-eyed emoji, presumably signifying he was touched by Grande's move.
This was not the first time that Ariana Grande and The Weeknd collaborated in the past.
In 2021, the duo sang "Save Your Tears," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Abel was also present in Ariana Grande's "Love Me Harder" on "My Everything" and also on "Off The Table" in "Positions."
Meanwhile, The Weeknd has been waiting for the release of his upcoming show on HBO, "Idol." The show will feature Abel himself, Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim, Troye Sivan, and Anne Heche in her final television role before her passing.
