Paris Hilton Reveals Dark Secret As She Debuts First Pic of Son: 'There's So Much Shame!'

Paris Hilton had an abortion in her early 20s. This bit came out when she debuted the first picture of her son to the world.

"This was also something that I didn't want to talk about because there was so much shame around that," the 42-year-old said to Glamour magazine in an interview published on Thursday, Feb. 23. "I was a kid and I was not ready for that," she added, not giving any further details about the father or her timeline.

She explained that she wanted to make the revelation now in light of Roe v Wade. The former Simple Life star stated, "I think it's vital." "There's so much politics surrounding it and everything else, but it's a woman's body... She added, "Why should there be a law based on that?"

The socialite just welcomed her first kid via surrogacy with husband Carter Reum, disclosing that his name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum on her iHeartRadio show This Is Paris. She had the name in mind for ten years and will write about it in her forthcoming biography titled simply Paris.

She also spoke openly about how she was treated following the 2003 release of the personal tape she recorded with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon. The tape was recorded when she was 19 years old, and in 2004 Salomon sold a lengthier version of the recording.

Hilton said she was the one who became the object of public attention and scrutiny, despite the fact that Salomon, now 54, was more than a decade her senior.

Two decades after the release of the tape, Hilton claimed she is still troubled by the film and the idea that she will be "judged" for the rest of her life on "one night" with someone she loved.

Hilton revealed that the recording made it more difficult for her to trust her partners in subsequent intimate encounters.

Meanwhile, she and Carter Reum have finally introduced the world to their son.

The couple uploaded the first photo of their kid to Instagram on Thursday. The professional snapshot, captured by photographer Dennis Gocer, depicts Hilton tenderly holding their infant while Reum looks on. "Our entire planet," she said in the photo's description.

On a Wednesday episode of her podcast, "This Is Paris," Hilton also disclosed their son's odd name: Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum. She remarked that the name was partially inspired by the city in Arizona and that she intended to continue the trend with any future children, having previously decided on the name London for a future girl.

Barron, on the other hand, was meant to honor Hilton's deceased grandfather of the same name.

The announcement comes little over a year after Hilton married Reum in a grandiose Bel-Air ceremony while wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown.
