It has been quite a difficult season for the one and only, Queen of Pop: Madonna.
Just recently, at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards her appearance was harshly criticized and her 23-year-long romantic relationship with Andrew Darnell came to an end.
As a source told Page Six that even though their relationship was casual, the end of things between Andrew and Madonna has come at an inopportune time.
"It was only a very casual thing [with Andrew] so she's not broken-hearted. It's just that it has come at a bad time."
"She's having a bit of a crisis of confidence and this doesn't help," they added. This is the final blow to what has already been a rough beginning to the year for the renowned singer.
It was only after her split from 28-year-old Ahlamalik Williams, a backup dancer she had been in a relationship with for three years, that the "Vogue" hitmaker encountered Andrew on a photoshoot.
After 64-year-old Madonna was shamed on social media following her introduction of a performance at this year's Grammys, her breakup with Andrew seemed to hit particularly hard. Reportedly, Andrew has already moved on to a relationship with someone much closer in age.
Just a few weeks earlier, Madonna had expressed her outrage over rumors that circulated in light of her appearance at this year's Grammy Awards.
Her puffy-faced look prompted speculation as to whether she had gone overboard with plastic surgery, but she argued that it was due to a long-lens camera distorting her face.
Additionally, Madonna stated that such inquiries were rooted in both ageism and misogyny.

Not long ago, Madonna caused a stir on Instagram when she shared a picture of herself and captioned it with: "Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol."
The mother-of-six has put on a strong face since her post, but according to sources, her troubles at the Grammys this past February 5th were due to more than just speculation about her look.
According to the source, Madonna used to feel more appreciated before but now "no one cared that [her] was in the room".
Despite her current predicament, the singer remains optimistic for her future and hopes that with her upcoming tour, people's attitudes will become much more favorable.
