Brian Austin Green issued a lengthy statement condemning his ex-wife Vanessa Marcil for her public coparenting allegations against him. In the process, he praised his ex-wife Megan Fox, while the latter is going through some relationship troubles herself.
"So, I can't tell you all how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+-year-old woman on social media like she is still in high school," the "Beverly Hills 90210" alum, 49, and rapper, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Friday, February 24. "She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk. Talk is cheap. Megan and I bust our asses to give Kass a well-rounded childhood since his mom was rarely there. I'm assuming that's why she posts so much of him now. When will she just GO AWAY."
Green's response was a screenshot of one of Marcil's Instagram Stories, in which she claimed that she and her former co-star "didn't and don't coparent" their son, Kassius Marcil-Green, and that she "raised [her] son alone."
This was not the first time that the ex-spouses had a public argument about their child. Green criticized Marcil in October 2022 for reportedly filing child support and custody claims against him, according to a screenshot of the claimed documentation he posted to his Instagram Stories.
"I just heard that my ex was claiming I spent years taking her to court and asking for child support," he wrote over the image of the legal document at the time. "How was I a respondent then??? #Factsisfacts #Thetruthshallsetyoufree."
Green's screenshot of what looked to be a legal document included his name beside the phrase "respondent" and Marcil's name alongside the term "petitioner." The remainder of the document stated, "Partial custody judgment."
In 1999, Green and Marcil met for the first time on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210. After four years of dating, the couple separated in 2003. Subsequently, the couple participated in a contentious custody dispute over Kassius, whom they had received in March 2002.
In a November 2018 Instagram post, the General Hospital alum claimed that Green and Fox had not spent time with Kassius for five years.
"[Twelve] years ago, I was served legal papers and then spent 8 years+ defending myself and my son in custody court in response to his father [and] his stepmother trying to get full custody (that means I would have seen my son four days a month) and then asking me to pay them child support," Marcil wrote. "They lost that case [and] a civil case asking me for $200,000."
Meanwhile, Green shares Noah, Bodhi, and Journey with the 36-year-old Jennifer's Body actress, and son Zane with girlfriend Sharda Burgess.
The shoutout to ex Megan Fox is well and good but hearing from her ex is probably not much of a solace now. Megan Fox has her own present demons to deal with.
Megan Fox is also experiencing difficulties with her current boyfriend, MGK. In fact, there has been a great deal of recent conjecture that the two are going through a difficult patch, with social media investigators set into overdrive by Fox's cryptic Instagram post, which used Beyoncé lyrics about "dishonesty."
She deleted her account shortly thereafter, only to return days later to ostensibly dispel rumors that a third person was engaged in their relationship, without addressing the reality behind any other potential problems.
Brian Austin Green is most well-known for his role as the nerdy high school freshman David Silver on Aaron Spelling's Beverly Hills, 90210. But some would know that he was a rapper for a time as well. Green released the hip-hop album One Stop Carnival in 1996, after briefly dropping his middle name. Approximately at the same time, his 90210 character began rapping. Green composed all of Carnival's tracks and recorded the album in his house in California.
