A woman, who was charged following the theft of Lady Gaga's French bulldogs, filed a lawsuit and sued back the singer.

One of the five co-defendants charged over the 2021 theft complained on Friday after the singer reportedly debited her of the $500,000 "no questions asked" reward, according to NBC News.

The woman, named Jennifer McBride, told the Los Angeles court through her attorney that the "Always Remember Us This Way" singer breached the contract and committed fraud by misrepresentation and fraud by false promise for not paying her the reward.

On top of the supposed $500,000 reward, McBride demands Lady Gaga to pay her no less than $1.5 million in damages in her eight-page complaint.

For what it's worth, the singer was in Rome at the time of incident but offered $500,000 to "anyone who has her two dogs, no questions asked. Anyone who has the dogs can use this email, KojiandGustav@gmail.com to retrieve the reward."

The filing explained McBride should receive the reward after returning the dogs to the Los Angeles police Olympic Community station two days after they were taken from Lady Gaga's dogwalker, Ryan Fischer.

McBride claimed that she endured mental anguish, pain, and suffering after she failed to receive the money. She also told the court she lost enjoyment of life following the charges.

She is one of the suspects in the dognapping incident. While she was not with the armed men who stole the dogs, she was charged with one count each of being an accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property.

She pleaded no contest to receiving stolen property in December.

Lady Gaga is yet to respond to the complaint.

No Reward for Jennifer McBride?

Los Angeles County Deputy district attorney Michele Hanisee previously proclaimed that, if Lady Gaga had not talked about her stolen French bulldogs in public and offered whopping reward, the dogs "would likely have ended up in a breeding mill."

"If Lady Gaga suffers a financial loss by paying that reward, she will qualify as a victim of crime under California law, and the people will be obligated by law to seek restitution in court for that loss from each and every defendant in the case," the attorney continued.

The other people charged in the crime were James Jackson, Jaylin White, Harold White, and Lafayette Whaley.
