Ellie Goulding first moved the release date of her upcoming album "Higher Than Heaven" in January, and it appears that fans won't get any new music soon as the pop star pushed back the date again for the second time; when is it coming out and why does it keep on getting delayed?
Taking to her official Instagram account, the British artist explained that there are different versions of her album available for pre-order on her official store and making her products "as green as possible" is incredibly important to her.
"As a result & due to delays in sourcing these products, we have to push back the release ever so slightly to April 7 just so we can get these beautiful products to you as soon as humanly possible," she added.
The recent announcement comes a few months after the "Lights" hitmaker announced her highly-anticipated fifth studio album by releasing the single "Let It Die."
She also dropped two more singles titled "Easy Lover" and "All By Myself" featuring Alok and Sigala.
At first, many fans were excited about her new album as it would feature new songs, but the February 3 release was pushed back to March 24, saying the delay was caused by "some exciting opportunities" that's been happening behind closed doors which she will share to her supporters in the near future.
To make it up to her fans, the singer revealed that a new single titled "Like A Savior" will come out anytime soon and it would have a music video, saying it was one of her favorite visuals that she'd ever filmed.
It's been nearly three years since Goulding last graced her fans with a new album because "Brightest Blue" was released in 2020.
In a previous interview with Billboard, the musician gave an update about "Higher Than Heaven," saying the record has already been finalized and it would surely drop on its release date, but she kept on hesitating because she believed that there are still more songs to write.
"I have a couple more songs coming out this year. The next one I'm really excited about. It's one of those songs that isn't a radio song, but something I think people will enjoy," she said.
