Rumors are suggesting that Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty, her husband, might have broken up following the latter's absence at the former's Trinidad and Tobago festival appearance earlier this month.

A string of insiders have recently reported that the two have been living separately following the continuous reporting of Petty's run-in with the law as a convicted sex offender.

According to the tabloid, since Minaj bought her $19.5 million house in Hidden Hills, California, Petty, on the other hand, had been living in a separate household.

Aside from living separately, some Barbz has deduced that Petty's absence in Nicki Minaj's photos and videos on Trinidad and Tobago seemed to be telling.

The outlet notes that Petty's absence from the videos and photos of Minaj's escapade in her home country was "bizarre" because Petty would typically always travel with the Queen of Rap, as he was "very protective" of the rapper's safety.

Taking everything with a grain of salt, it could also be true that Petty was at home, tending to Papa Bear, the couple's child, while Minaj is away for work.

TikTok user New Day New Tea, shared that a foreign-born A-list rapper finally "dumped" her murdering serial rapist husband because he didn't travel with her overseas. The user, however, seemed to not cite any source

"He isn't allowed to travel with her. There have been a series of strippers headed to his house, while she has been gone though," she alleged without basis.

Petty was convicted of first-degree manslaughter in 2006 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A decade prior, Petty was also convicted for the attempted first-degree rape of a 16-year-old. He has since been registered as a sex offender in the New York State's Sex Offender Registry.

However, when he moved to California in 2018, Petty "knowingly" failed to register in the state, resulting in a federal conviction. Last July 2022, Petty was finally sentenced in Los Angeles to probation for three years, home detention for a year, and a $55,000 fine.

Minaj has been tight-lipped on the speculations of the alleged breakup. Most recently, Minaj was still on a "hiatus" even though she will be releasing her new single, predicted to take off on the Billboard Top 10, "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" on Friday, Mar. 3, 2023.

"ghost writers all around the world are scrambling. Just watch. Nicki is still on hiatus. This b!@ch right here tho? She outside," the Queen of Rap posted on Instagram following the single's cover art.
