Ozzy Osbourne amassed mixed reactions last month after announcing that he would be retiring from touring as some of them believed it was best for him while others were sad because they won't have another chance to see the singer perform live.

More recently, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford reveals his true feelings over the rock legend's retirement, saying it's the right decision to make.

The musician recently spoke to Metal Hammer, saying the rocker did so much for his fans and the metal community for decades and even though he felt bad in announcing his retirement as it would disappoint some of his supporters, he made the "right call" in doing so.

The reason why he believes it was the only decision made, Halford said Osbourne doesn't want to push his energy and continue the tour only to cancel after playing several dates.

"Even though there's a lot of love for him and a lot of care and understanding, I've seen what the British metal maniacs have been saying and it's exactly how I feel too - put your feet up, you've earned it!" he concluded. (via Loudwire)

Elsewhere in the interview, the musician said he hasn't spoken to the rock legend in person, but they still keep in touch through messages. The other day, Halford said he sent a message to the singer to congratulate him on his two Grammy wins.

The recent conversation comes a month after Ozzy Osbourne shared a shocking announcement to the public, saying he's going to retire from touring as his body is "physically weak" after going through therapy sessions and treatments.

He noted that the thought of disappointing his fans really messed him up more than the public would ever know as he never thought his touring days would end this way. (via The Guardian)

Later in the statement, the musician said he was looking for options for him to continue playing for his fans without having to travel far. He then expressed his gratitude to his supporters for giving him the life he never thought he would have.

Rob Halford's band, Judas Priest, was scheduled to be Osbourne's opening act for his tour, but since his announcement, they shared their love and support for him online.
