Talks about One Direction's reunion resurfaced after Harry Styles' shocking move.
Since One Direction announced its indefinite hiatus in 2015, the band has not released any comeback music yet. Directioners have been patiently waiting for news about it, but they have not received any clear signs until Styles recently uploaded a photo of him.
On Sunday, the "Watermelon Sugar" hitmaker posted a mirror selfie taken from a gym while wearing a One Direction shirt from the band's 2012 Up All Night Tour. He immediately deleted it, but publications and fans immediately screenshot the picture.
As Styles removed it, fans talked about the blunder online and trended the phrase "HE DELETED IT" on Twitter. They also offered reactions after seeing the post, saying that it ignited their hopes for a One Direction reunion again.

The photo was uploaded after Styles' former bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, shared his thoughts about the highly-anticipated reunion during an interview with The Times.
"Getting back together at some point is hard to imagine right now," he said. "But I'd be surprised if we lived out our lives and didn't have a moment where we had a reunion, or whatever you want to call it. I'd be up for that ... I do miss the boys and I do definitely miss being one of the five, but I like doing my own thing too. It was time."

Although Styles sparked reunion talks, he also caused One Direction fans to lose hope about the band's future after the singer won at the 2023 Grammy Awards and took home the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album recognitions.
Express UK cited Alex Apati, who said Styles' Grammys win increased the unlikeliness that the band would get back together soon.
Styles has been savoring success since he established his solo career in 2017 through a self-titled album.
