Another Top Female Singers list sparked controversy after the hit TV game show "Family Feud" revealed the public's answers to the viewers.

Fans on Twitter expressed their disbelief as some "unexpected" musicians appeared on the game show's board when host Steve Harvey asked the contestants about the "top female singer who can bring the house down when she sings live."

The first contestant answered Beyoncé, which Harvey approved as he proclaimed she is the "greatest living performer today."

However, everyone on the show looked baffled after the Grammy-winning singer only appeared on No. 4.

The guessing family managed to guess Jennifer Lopez, who was No. 2. The other team's answer, Shakira, was not enough for them to steal their points.

The guessing game continued from there, with the players continuously seeing a big red X on the board as they said Cardi B, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and Diana Ross' names.

Out of the seven answers, both teams only managed to unveil Lopez and Beyoncé's names. The other musicians on board were Lady Gaga (No. 1), Carrie Underwood (No. 3), Cher (No. 5), Reba McEntire (No. 6), and Celine Dion (No. 7).

After watching the clip, fans questioned the answers and shared their opinions regarding the survey.

One said, "The way everyone in the room was so audibly confused about Reba lmfao."

"the confusion in everyone's voice when they had to read the answers out loud," another wrote.

They also questioned Whitney Houston's absence on the list and Beyoncé's lower rank compared to Lopez.

"Family Feud" does its surveys discreetly by finding 100 people and asking them questions. According to Mental Floss, the writers submit about 100 questions daily to the executive producer before choosing 30 to 40 of the best out of it.

The show then uses Applied Research-West, a polling firm that calls people randomly to ask questions. "Family Feud" uses the questions and survey findings weeks later.

Top Singers' List of Rolling Stone Also Sparked Queries

Aside from the game show's list, the public also questioned Rolling Stone's Top 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list. The magazine unveiled the list on Jan. 1

The Top 20 on the list are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Otis Redding, Al Green, Little Richard, John Lennon, Patsy Cline, Freddie Mercury, Bob Dylan, Prince, Elvis Presley, Celia Cruz, Frank Sinatra, and Marvin Gaye.

"Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List. Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent. Sure, many of the people here were born with massive pipes, perfect pitch, and boundless range," Rolling Stone explained.

Rolling Stone said that it previously used the voting process it followed when it created its first 100 Greatest Singers in 2008.
