Jamie Lee Curtis Wishes Coldplay, Other Bands Will Do THIS For Her

During her appearance on the Today show on Tuesday, March 7 (morning), Jamie Lee Curtis advocated for early-bird performances.

The topic arose when the Oscar nominee and well-known early riser stated that she would be skipping the Academy Awards dinner later this week owing to its 7:30 p.m. start time. The anchor Savannah Guthrie asked her what time would the meal have had to be for her to say yes and she said five.

Curtis' issue about the late start time for concerts and other live music events eventually came up in conversation.
"Why are there no matinees? I'm curious," she said. "I would love to go see Coldplay. I would love it. The problem is, I'm not going to see Coldplay if they start their show at 9 and there's an opening act. I want to hear Coldplay at 1 p.m."

Although though the majority of the live music circuit operates at night, midday performances are not altogether unheard of.
