This time, Smith uploaded an intriguing snapshot of themselves on Instagram in which they are wearing what appears to be a striped nightshirt and are standing in a dark corridor while holding a tall candle.
In addition, Smith has an intense expression on their face in the photo, with furrowed brows and a direct gaze towards the camera. Needless to add, the photo's caption simply reads "BOO."
Many of their fans were startled by the image, taking to the comments and writing things like, "scary vibes," and "This scared me...but in a great way lol ️."
"Gosh Sam I jumped!" said another.
Naturally, the fans soon began joking as they pondered the photo's background, with one writing, "It's giving Scrooge from A Christmas Carol an x." The same individual also referenced a popular TikTok sound by saying "AWOOP JUMPSCARE." Many others had the same impression and said, "You look like Ebenezer Scrooge who is seeing one of the ghosts before
Christmas." Another admirer postulated that Sam had teleported to the 18th century. Among the additional hilarious remarks were "The Others 2: find the curtains" and "Fr me on my way to the refrigerator at 3 a.m. to fetch food." Some of Smith's admirers questioned whether the image is a hint or sneak peek of a new project, speculating, "new music or video? or a basic photograph?"
Smith released their fourth studio album, Gloria, at the conclusion of January, accompanied by music videos for "Unholy (with Kim Petras)," "Love Me More," and "I'm Not Here To Make Friends." Another music video may be in the works for the Grammy-winning singer's popular album, with "Lose You" as a possible candidate. Time will tell whether the frightening photograph was taken for one of Smith's projects or simply for fun.
