Tame Impala's Kevin Parker received praise from the band's fans after the frontman pushed through with the concert despite his hip injury.
On Friday, Tame Impala met their fans in Mexico City as part of their scheduled Latin America concerts. In the fan-taken videos on YouTube, it can be seen that Parker performed on crutches and had a fractured hip. The frontman even danced several times as he played and sang the band's tracks throughout their career.
Fans immediately thanked him for not canceling the concert, but some also expressed their worries as they hoped for his fast recovery after his procedure.
Before the performance, Parker already said "I'm not quitting on you guys," assuring their fans that the band's shows in Mexico and Latin America would not be affected by his health issue.
The frontman managed to complete the 18-song set without a problem. He sang several of Tame Impala's hit songs, including "The Less I Know the Better," "Let It Happen," "Borderline," and "Elephant."
Parker and his band will conquer Mexico City again on Saturday night before heading to other shows and festival appearances in South America.
What Happened to Kevin Parker?
The singer recently revealed in an Instagram post that he is currently recuperating following major surgery for his fractured hip. He updated his fans with photos of himself in a medical facility, his injury's MRI result, and X-ray of his bones with screws and rods.
"Fractured my hip," he captioned the post. "Tried to run a half marathon on what turned out to be an existing stress fracture. Whoops. Made it to within 1km of the finish line. That's life I guess."

According to NHS, a hip fracture occurs when the upper part of the femur - the longest and strongest bone in the human body - breaks a part of it. It is considered as a serious injury that requires immediate surgery.
People who undergo surgery also have to take rest for weeks or months.
After the second show in Mexico City, Tame Impala is set to appear at Lollapalooza, Buenos Aires, on March 18. The group will then visit more venues and festivals in the next few weeks: Lollapalooza Santiago (March 19), Asuncionico in Asuncion (March 21 to 22), Esterio Picnic in Bogota (March 23), and Lollapalooza Sao Paulo, Brazil (March 25).
