Louis Tomlinson's career began with One Direction and he spends years with his bandmates. Today, the musician is looking back at his achievements, including feeling important after contributing a lot to the boy band's music catalog.
In a teaser video of his documentary "All of Those Voices," the British singer revealed he insisted on writing songs for the group back when the band was still actively performing.
The "Two of Us" hitmaker said it had always been in his mind that it would be cool if One Direction weren't juts a generic boy band who would perform songs written for them, leading the group to collectively agree about writing their own music.
After feeling the "stuff bubbling" for them and amassing the general public's attention, they finally realized they could make a few of their decisions as a team.
During the first two and a half years of the group, it appears that Tomlinson felt he was left out of the band as he wasn't in control of himself and felt he didn't have any influence to his bandmates.
However, he later became proud after making big contributions to the group, saying, "When I think about what makes me most proud as me as an individual in that band, is definitely having the most writing credits. That makes me feel important to the band, and that's all I ever wanted when I was a lad." (via Billboard)
