Ellie Goulding has been in the music industry for more than a decade now and many fans have been dancing to her pop tracks ever since. However, it appears that the musician is working on a project of a different genre as revealed in a recent interview.
The English singer spoke to Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe for a conversation where she revealed that she's working on a new album over the past few years.
The yet-to-be-announced record is different from the singer's previous works as it is a classical album.
"I have made a classical album in the past couple of years, a few friends, we just have to finish it," she said. (via Wilmar Radio)
As of this writing, Ellie Goulding has yet to reveal more information about the said project.

Fans doesn't have to wait for the classical album to drop for them to hear new songs as the singer is set to release her long-anticipated record titled "Higher Than Heaven."
However, Goulding has pushed back the project for the third time as it was initially scheduled to drop on February 3, then later again on March 24.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the singer revealed the reason why her album is getting delayed again, saying it's important for her to make her products (CDs, merch, vinyl records) as green as possible, but her team is having a hard time sourcing for materials.
"As a result & due to delays in sourcing these products, we have to push back the release ever so slightly to April 7 just so we can get these beautiful products to you as soon as humanly possible," she wrote.
"Higher Than Heaven" will be available for purchase and streaming on major music platforms starting on April 7, 2023.

The pop star announced her record in January which made fans become excited as it's been nearly three years since she dropped her last album "Brightest Blue."
To celebrate the announcement, Goulding released a new single from her fifth studio album titled "Let It Die." She previously dropped another two songs "Easy Lover" and "All By Myself" in collaboration with Alok and Sigala.
In a previous interview, the musician revealed she initially hesitated about dropping the album despite it being finalized, saying she believed there are still more songs to write.
