Bruce Springsteen is coming from an unspecified illness which caused him to postpone concerts in Ohio, Albany, and Connecticut.

However, as he returned to performing at his Philadelphia concert, it seemed like the rocker was alive and fit, as if there was no trace of coming from an illness.

This, however, has sparked worry amongst his fans, especially because of his recent health setbacks, which might compromise his overall health.

Bruce Springsteen Philadelphia Concert

According to Variety, Springsteen leaped back to the stage in Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center with a resounding greeting to the arena full of his fans.

"Philly, my people!" a seeming nod to his deep New Jersey roots.

Performing their hit song "No Surrender," Springsteen's energy and vitality seemed to be hitting off the bench pretty greatly.

The 73-year-old rocker, according to the outlet, transformed into a rock and roll superhero, as he has always been. He even ripped his shirt wide open, which pretty much swatted any concerns about his health that came about weeks ago because of the apparent consecutive concert cancellations.

Little Steven, a member of Springsteen's E Street Band, assured fans online days ago that it was only a temporary setback.

"No need to be anxious or afraid," he said in a statement. "Nothing serious. Just a temporary situation. We will be back in full force very soon."

In the concert, no mentions of the "illness" were made. However, somewhere at the start, Springsteen's voice was noted to be a "tad hoarse," as it is speculated to have been only related to throat and respiratory ailments.

For the duration of their Arena tour, the band, including Springsteen, has faced health bouts. They contracted COVID-19 in the early days.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Springsteen got candid on his state after the throat surgery he went through. He had to fix the chronic numbness in the left side of the throat. He also suffered from depression and has been open about his struggle with his mental health.

"I've had to deal with a lot of it over the years, and I'm on a variety of medications that keep me on an even keel; otherwise I can swing rather dramatically and ... just ... the wheels can come off a little bit," Springsteen revealed.
