Ruby Rose raised eyebrows on Sunday when she posted something cryptic about "never" celebrating her birthday.
On Sunday, the 37-year-old said on Instagram Storiesthat she was "logging off" until March 21, adding that she did not "celebrate" this day.
The singer-actress said in a since-deleted post, "If you have followed me for long enough you know I don't acknowledge [my birthday]."
The Australian brunette said, "I don't celebrate that day. That day has never been a celebration."
"Some have tried but it was never a celebration at the time and nor is it now. So please leave it for me this year."
The "Pitch Perfect 3" singer did not elaborate on why she does not recognize the day. Several people find it strange because she has previously celebrated her birthday, especially in 2019 when Ruby Rose celebrated it early with cakes and other goodies.
Ruby Rose, on the other hand, wrote on her Instagram account on Monday about a dog rescue group with which she is now working. There was also no mention of her prior remarks.
While there is no actual context for what the "Batwoman" actor said, it concerned many fans.
Ruby Rose's refusal to celebrate her birthday comes after she recently disclosed that she is working on a memoir that would "piss off a lot of people."
Ruby Rose Memoir
Ruby Rose stated on Instagram last month that she had begun writing her book and planned to expose pop twins for being "horrific" to her.
She is entangled in a fight with The Veronicas' Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, which has made headlines.
Ruby Rose and Jessica dated from 2016 to 2018, when their relationship grew so strained that the sisters were on the verge of estrangement.
Following their divorce, the twins reconciled and made disparaging statements about the "Orange Is the New Black" actress.
The actress and DJ went on to say, "Excited to be free. Excited to tell the truth. On the sisters? You're first. How horrific you were."
"Imagine mistaking kindness for weakness."
