A song that was written by Sir Elton John and Dolly Parton has been released. Dolly, who is 77 years old, and Elton, who is 75, have collaborated on a rendition of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," a classic song that Elton released in 1974 and of which Dolly is a huge fan.

They plan to release the cover later on in this year. Dolly Parton is, after all, a LGBTQ legend, and Elton John is an enormous fan, according to a source who spoke to the Bizarre column of The Sun newspaper. When he found out that she was interested in working with him, he seized the opportunity with both hands.
This track will be included on Dolly's next rock and roll album, which will also feature cover versions of some of Dolly's all-time greatest hits. Dolly said in December that she had reproduced Elton's iconic song for the album, but that she had enlisted his assistance in the process. She said that she has sent a note requesting that he sing alongside her and possibly play the piano on it. She would really appreciate it.
Dolly, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the year prior to its current iteration, revealed that she desired to "earn" her place on the list. She went on to explain that she is now composing a variety of brand new rock tunes. Since she was informed that she would be taking part in the entire thing, she has been putting in some time here and there to work on it over the course of the past few months.

She was under the impression that she would have to work for it. As a result, it would appear that the time to act was right now. She does not just want a token recognition, after all. Parton even revealed that at the moment, she has been putting the finishing touches on that record, which she's hoping will be released the following autumn, just in time for the holiday season. Thus, she will be performing a big number of rock songs that are considered to be classics, in addition to a couple of songs that I've written.
This is not the first time the two worked together.
Parton joined John in a performance of "Turn the Lights Out When You Leave" on the CMA Awards back in 2005.
