Cardi B taught everyone a lesson: don't run your mouth about things you know nothing about.
According to reports, Cardi B will be receiving $4 million after winning against YouTuber Tasha K in a defamation lawsuit.
Although the verdict came in January 2022, the matter was only settled on Mar. 21 after Tasha K's appeal for a new trial was shut down by a federal appeals court, upholding the initial verdict.
Billboard reported that the YoutTuber claimed that the result of the trial was a "very lopsided presentation of evidence to the jury," however the appeals court simply stated that Tasha K failed to make an argument in the first place.
"Defendant Latasha Kebe asks for a new trial, saying that there was insufficient evidence for the jury verdict against her," read the statement.
"But as she all but admits, she didn't make either of the required post-verdict motions in the district court."
Defamation Suit
The drama between the rapper and Tasha K stems back in 2019 when the latter shared false statements about Cardi B.
HipHop DX notes that these statements accused the "WAP" rapper of having herpes, using a beer bottle as a sex toy, being a prostitute, and using cocaine.
Cardi B spared no expense coming after Tasha K, after declaring that none of the statements were true.
Her suit noted that Cardi B experienced "severe emotional distress that caused significant issues in her life," a report said.
The Grammy-winning artist presented her case, providing evidence that she is, in fact, did not have the STD and that Tasha K's accusations even caused further issues with her relationship with her husband, Offset.
The rapper was awarded more than $2.5 million in damages as well as $1.3 million in legal fees.
"We're obviously pleased that the Eleventh Circuit has affirmed the jury's unanimous and important verdict, which we believe was more than amply supported by the evidence presented in the case," said the rapper's lawyer, Andrew Pequignot.

Apology
After the news of her rejected appeal came out, Tasha K took to social media to apologize directly to the rapper.
"Damn Winos!" She wrote. "We lost the appeal against Cardi B sad day. But I'm gonna be alright. I appreciate all your love [and] support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag. What happened will never happen again. To Cardi [and] her team, I apologize sincere. We live and learn."
