Chloe and Halle Bailey are thriving in their individual careers over the past year, with the former gearing up to release her debut album later this month and the latter set to appear in the live-action movie "The Little Mermaid."

It's been years since the two dropped music under their Chloe x Halle branding and it appears that fans may hear from them anytime soon.

According to Pop Sugar, the actress/singer attended an event to promote one of her partnerships. Halle noted that she and her sister are heading to a recording studio in the near future as they are excited to work on a new album.

"My sister and I are very, very excited to work on our new album together, as well as just let these amazing solo projects come out for both of us," she revealed.

Although the pair remained inactive with their collaboration, Halle, who will play the role of Ariel in the upcoming Disney film, clarified that they "are not finished making music together."

The last time the duo dropped an album was in 2020 with the release of their second record "Ungodly Hour" featuring hit songs like "Do It."

Elsewhere in the interview, Halle expressed her love for her sister, saying their solo careers have been "really beautiful."

Despite them working individually, the musician noted that Chloe is like her arm as she's her biggest supporter and she's the same to her.

"We're just really excited to be able to be doing all of this together and for this all to be happening. I'm so proud of her," she added.

Halle then promoted the R&B star's album, saying "In Pieces" will come out on March 31 and the public should be "so hyped" about the project.

Just recently, Chloe revealed the official tracklist of her album featuring collaborations with star-studded artists like Missy Elliott, Future, and more.

The album will feature 14 new songs, including the already released one "Pray It Away."

Halle Bailey Reveals 'The Little Mermaid' Live-Action Will Be Different From the Original

In a recent interview, Halle Bailey gave fans an insight into what they can expect from the upcoming film, saying her role of Ariel will be more "nuanced" compared to the original version, which was released in 1989.

"It's way bigger than that. It's about herself, her purpose, her freedom, her life," she added.

Disney's "The Little Mermaid" live-action film will be available in cinemas starting on May 26, 2023.
