Chris Martin disclosed that he now only consumes one meal per day after observing that Bruce Springsteen is "in better shape than him."
The Coldplay vocalist, 46, made the confession during an appearance on Conan O'Brien's "Needs A Friend" podcast, explaining that he decided to reduce his caloric intake after becoming envious of the 73-year-old singer's incredible physique.
When asked if he had lately dined with any notable celebrities, he informed the presenter that he "no longer has dinner" because he quits eating at 4 p.m., a recommendation he received from fellow musician Bruce.
He said he actually no longer eat dinner. He revealed that he learnt to quit eating at four from having lunch with Bruce Springsteen.
The "Head Full of Dreams" singer said that he was astonished by Bruce's physique and decided to ask him how he remains in such fantastic shape at a meal they shared in June, following their performance at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It's not that he was eating so much in the past. In fact he was already on a very rigorous diet. But he felt triggered hen he saw Bruce is in even better shape than I am.
He then learned from Patti [Bruce's wife] that he only consumes one meal per day.

Back in 2021, the artist admitted he had only cooked twice in the previous decade, and both times he had set fire to the kitchen. He stated on BBC Radio 2 that he's not a particularly good cook. In the past decade, he has cooked twice, and both times the Fire Department responded.
He even said that he would want to thank the North London Fire Department, who have saved my life twice.
The second time they visited, they actually asked if he has cooked again
When asked what he had charred, he responded, "Um, pasta and toast."
Chris Martin previously disclosed in 2016 that he was following the 6:1 diet, which consists of eating six days a week and fasting on the seventh day by sipping only water.
He said Bruce Springteen - but some feel he could have been influenced by his ex Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Oscar winner recently had to defended herself after Meghan McCain, Tess Holliday and more stars slammed her "starvation diet" last week.
Paltrow - who is currently on trial for allegedly leaving a doctor with a brain injury during a 2016 ski trip - blamed her choices on "very high levels of inflammation" from long COVID-19 in an Instagram Story video Friday.
She said she has been really working to really focus on foods that aren't inflammatory.
Tess Holiday, a 37-year-old model revealed to her TikTok followers that Paltrow is "afraid of getting fat," and that is quite messed up. While Holliday does not "judge what individuals put in their bodies," she stated that this behavior is not normal; worse, it's bad for an entirely new generation of young people.
