Selena disclosed that behind the scenes, Hailey's online demeanor belies a far different narrative from what she has been portraying so far. She is at the brunt of online hate right now after an allegedly "bullying Selena" video she did, went viral.
But who would have thought that people would actually send death threat to Hailey Bieber though? Selena Gomez is now warning her fans to stop heckling and bullying Justin Bieber's wife.
Selena addressed this issue with a post on her Instagram story, in which she warned her followers that she does not tolerate "hatred or bullying." She wrote that Hailey Bieber has reached out to her and informed that she has been receiving death threats and other forms of hatred. Gomez feels dismayed because this is not something she stands for.
She even said that No one should be subjected to hatred or bullying.
The celebrity concluded their letter with a red heart emoji.
Meanwhile Selena Gomez's 2019 hit single "Lose You to Love Me" -- or probably what you can call "Bye Bieber song" crossed one billion Spotify streams, a feat she celebrated on Instagram on Wednesday.
At the same time, Selena Gomez has surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram less than a month after being the first woman to reach 400 million followers on Instagram. The accomplishment coincides with Gomez's Instagram post defending 'courageous' Iranian teens who were jailed and made to publicly repent after dancing to her song "Calm Down" on TikTok.
The streaming service made the announcement via social media, writing, "All the love for @selenagomez Congratulations on 1 billion streams of Lose You to Love Me!"
"Lose You to Love Me" is Gomez's first solo attempt to surpass one billion streams on Spotify. It is not the first song she has had in the billion-stream club. Previous entries include "It Ain't Me" featuring Kygo, "Wolves" featuring Marshmello, and "Taki Taki" featuring DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Cardi B.
"Lose You to Love Me" was Gomez's first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was released as the lead single from her third studio album, "Rare." It was an instant streaming phenomenon, becoming the singer's first single to top the Streaming Songs chart shortly after its debut.
