Tekashi 6ix9ine was in legal problems only weeks before he was viciously beaten in a Florida gym.

On February 20, American Express filed a lawsuit against the rapper, whose actual name is Daniel Hernandez, according to court records acquired by Radar Online.

According to the corporation, they gave the "STOOPID" rapper a line of credit, but he ceased making payments in November 2022.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was ordered to pay the outstanding sum of $118,387 in the lawsuit.

The purported debt only aggravated the 26-year-old New York born artist, who was attacked by a gang of guys inside a LA Fitness sauna in Palm Beach County earlier this week.

As shown in a video of the viral incident on social media, the ex-con was viciously beaten. It showed two guys looming over the "GOOBA" rapper as he lay on the ground, shielding his head from each hit.

"Shut the f*** up," the men shout at Tekashi 6ix9ine. One kicks him in the stomach, while another strikes him in the head.

After the videographer informed him that he was a fan, the artist emerged from the toilet with a bleeding face.

He was not accompanied by security throughout the incident. Police and doctors were called to the scene afterwards, and the rapper was brought to the hospital right away. He was hurt in the face, jaw, back, and ribs.

A Week Before The Attack

Tekashi 6ix9ine was also ejected out of a Miami baseball stadium on Friday for generating a drunken commotion and disrupting other spectators, according to Page Six.

An eyewitness who spoke to the outlet said, "He was heavily intoxicated and interrupting other guests' experience."

"He was drunk, he was inebriated and he was out of control. There were a lot of families there last night and he was bothering people."

No Security

Meanwhile, TMZ said that Tekashi 6ix9ine isn't going to let one event define him.

Despite assailants' claims that snitches aren't wanted in their area, the "ZAZA" rapper apparently intends to continue living life as usual and has no intentions to leave Florida.

His lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, told the publication that he will speak with authorities about providing him protection. However, his customer may be reluctant to accept it.
