It seems like Lady Gaga was spreading some love on the set of her upcoming movie, "Joker: Folie a Deux."
Unfortunately, she is getting mixed reactions from social media.
The "Poker Face" singer, who is now filming opposite Joaquin Phoenix, plays the villain's ardent follower.
Lady Gaga pauses in front of a woman carrying a newspaper with the title "Crazy in Love" and photographs of her character, Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, and the Joker in a scene shot at New York's City Hall.
Lady Gaga's figure, soon to be known as Harley Quinn, then placed her hands on the bystander's face and kissed her on the lips.
The "A Star Is Born" star looked stunning with a red, white, and blue flowery gown, a dark blue coat, and dark stockings with a hole in one knee.
Her blonde hair was pulled back in a half ponytail, revealing her dark roots. Her appearance, however, appeared to have been done as if she were not wearing makeup.
The images are being shot outside the same building where a grand jury is hearing testimony against former US President Donald Trump, according to NBC News.
Harley Quinn
As the title translated to English, "delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association" between Joaquin Phoenix's character Joke and Lady Gaga's character Harley Quinn.
Fans, on the other hand, are confused and were reacting differently after witnessing the "Rain On Me" singer kissing a lady.
"You are not the queerbaitin," one user tweeted.
"She yelled you going to hell then kissed her saying now we both going yeah gaga taking it," stated another.
"Gaga stans are going to attack you and say she's bi, but who was the last woman she dated? I'll wait.... She's no different than Harry Styles. A baiter," a third user commented on the platform.
Other fans defended the artist, claiming that Lady Gaga and Harley Quinn are both bisexual.
"Harley has been bi since her character was created; when she first arrived in DC in 1993, there was no such thing as woke."
Others appreciated the singer-dancer as well, with one Twitter user remarking, "You guys know gaga and harley are both queer right so they can't queer bait be real in the comments for once."
