The Band Perry has informed their fans that they will be taking a "creative break." Whether or not this would become a permanent disband - as other bands who have taken a break eventually did - remains too soon to tell. What is the reason behind the break though?
Kimberly Perry, 39, Reid Perry, 34, and Neil Perry, 32, sent a message with black text on a white background on their Instagram accounts.
The statement read as follows, "To our TBP friends and family: We wanted to let you know that the three of us have decided to take a creative break as a group and each focus on our individual creative pursuits."
They thanked their supporters by expressing their gratitude for making their childhood dreams come true!
The group signed out with "Love you all," and their individual names.
The band started out in 2010. The band members marked the debut of their musical group with their self-titled debut album.

"If I Die Young," one of the project's singles, peaked at number one on the Hot Country Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks lists on the U.S. Billboard website.
This follows Kimberly's 2021 announcement of her engagement to musician Johnny Costello. One could recall how a previous marriage almost wrecked her. But then it did inspire a very famous hit - so all's good and well.
Early in 2017, The Band Perry announced that they will be releasing a new album titled "My Bad Imagination," which they indicated would be a departure from their previous two albums, since it would be more pop-influenced.
Then, with the publication of their pop tune "Stay in the Dark," they give fans a glimpse. It was later announced, however, that the album had been completely scrapped.
After two digital EPs, label changes, and Kimberly's divorce, the country-turned-pop sibling trio returned in 2019 with "The Good Life," a scorching new song about adultery. The electro-pop song contains a phrase that scorches a former lover. The chorus states, "You had a good life, but you gave it up for hoes."
Written by Owen Thomas and the Perry siblings, Kimberly said in an Instagram post that the song was inspired by personal experience. She stated that it was inspired by her experience with adultery and "was written during a toxic and incredibly difficult period in my life."
She went on to remark that the empowering lyrics reminded her of her importance and reminded her that her self-worth is not dictated by a single uninterested person or a negative circumstance. She prayed that every woman who feels degraded and insulted will realize that they, too, deserve so much more.
Her younger brother Neil announced his engagement to Sofia Sclafani in January of this year, stating he will marry her. His life update was accompanied by an Instagram photo of him and his fiancee cuddling against a wintry background.
It seems though that with the changes taking place in their individual lives, taking a break is the right thing to do.
