No one is sure if Kesha was really the one who released two new songs on SoundCloud, but one thing is for certain: everyone is excited to welcome the singer back.

There have been some years when the "Your Love is My Drug" singer released an album. Her last was "High Road" back in 2020, but many are speculating that she is secretly gearing up to release another.

According to Rolling Stone, a SoundCloud user, Kesha19523, uploaded two songs on the platform: "East the Acid" and "Fine Line."

Since its release, it has gained the attention of numerous fans who are wondering if the snippers are indeed from Kesha herself or if it was leaked.

However, it seems like a new album is more likely the reason why the snippets have been released because Kesha's official website announced that "Kesha is coming."

'Fine Line'

Out of the two, "Fine Line" is the song that fans have not heard yet, as "Eat the Acid" has recently been previewed by the singer herself during one of her Instagram live streams.

The previously unreleased snippet has a very telling storyline that goes like this: "There's a fine line that I'm walking/I'm trying to balance, it's exhausting/This is where you fuckers pushed me/Don't be surprised if shit gets ugly."

"All the doctors and lawyers cut the tongue out of my mouth/I've been hiding my anger, but bitch look at me now/I'm at the top of the mountain with a gun to my head/Am I bigger than Jesus or better off dead?/There's a fine line between genius and crazy."

Meanwhile, "Eat the Acid" isn't as straightforward, but equally devastating and heartbreaking.

"You said that the universe is magic/Just open up your eyes, the signs are waiting," Kesha sings. You said don't ever eat the acid if you don't want to be changed like you changed me."

Coming Soon

Kesha has been booked and busy in the recording studio. According to reports, the singer updated her fans on how she's doing and what she has been working on for the past couple of months.

Apparently, she has been writing songs left and right. She even shared that she co-wrote a song with Kurt Vile and Rick Rubin.

Given that the forthcoming album might actually just be around the corner, and the snippets uploaded on SoundCloud, a kesha comeback might actually happen this year.

Kesha became a mainstay in pop culture and music back in the early 2010s, following the release of her debut album "Animal" and her sophomore album "Warrior."
