Tekashi 6ix9ine Describes Gym Attack As 'Cowardly' But Claims He Wasn't Mad At All

After the suspects of Tekashi 6ix9ine's gym attack have finally been identified and arrested, the rainbow-haired rapper has finally spoken out since he was brutally taken down in an LA Fitness Gym in South Florida.

Taking to Instagram to air out his thoughts, Tekashi 6ix9ine, simply called 6ix9ine, revealed that despite the brutality and the injuries he has sustained, it seemed like he is unfazed by it.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Gym Attack

In March 2023, rapper 6ix9ine, formally known as Daniel Hernandez, was attacked at a South Florida branch of LA Fitness Gym, specifically in the building's sauna restroom.

In a now-viral video, a fan of the rapper captured the video showing three of the men brutally kicking and beating down a helpless 6ix9ine to the pulp. Shortly after, 6ix9ine, whose face is now bloody, faces the camera as he exits the room and makes his way to the exit.

The gym staff called 911, and he was rushed to the hospital for treatment. TMZ received photos of 6ix9ine at the time and was informed that he had sustained major blows to the head, ribs, back, and limbs.

Days ago, the three men who attacked 6ix9ine at the gym were identified and arrested already. 23-year-old Octavius Medina, 25-year-old Anthony Maldonado, and 43-year-old Rafael Medina, the suspects in 6ix9ine's brutal attack, were arrested for robbery and assault.

As of this writing, the reason for the attack has not yet been revealed, but people on the internet believe that one of the three was a former security detail of 6ix9ine.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Addresses Attack

In an Instagram post, 6ix9ine, since he was brutally attacked, has finally broken his silence on his recent hospitalization.

The rapper revealed that for two years, he had been walking with no security detail; although he pointed out that he does not promote that, he says that meant that he never really hid anything.

"Anyway what happen here was nothing but cowardly. I'm not mad this happened. In the street there's no rules so I cant say they were wrong. Obviously it wasn't fair but again the streets has no rules," he said in a statement. "Just imagine having nothing to do with a situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (Very weird) I'm happy to be here still,."

In the latter part of his statement, 6ix9ine highlighted that he "never knew" that people respected "jumping" over people, alluding to some people on the internet who were celebrating at the news that he was brutally attacked.
