Naomi Judd's death left Flat River Band members more devastated last spring.

Judd shocked the industry when news about her sudden death emerged. Earlier reports revealed that the 75-year-old singer died of a self-inflicted firearm wound, which was later confirmed by her daughter, Ashley.

Before her death, Flat River Band also suffered a great loss.

Flat River Band's New Single Inspired by Recent Losses

On Flat River Band's official YouTube channel, the trio unveiled the official video of them playing their new single, "Wings of a White Dove."

Speaking about their new music, brothers Andy, Dennijo and Chad Sitze sat for an interview with PEOPLE and spoke about how they came up with the single after the deaths of their manager and Judd.

Dennijo told the publication that they also have personal experience with losing people. He recalled that their manager, Doc, died by suicide in the Spring of 2022. Unfortunately, not long after the devastating event, they learned about Judd's passing.

The Flat River Band members have been vocal about their love for The Judds - the late singer's singing duo with her daughter, Wynonna Judd. The brothers praised the mother-daughter tandem, saying that only The Judds could create such music.

After the events, the band thought they should do something as both incidents were connected to mental illness.

"These events were big eye-openers for us," Dennijo went on. "We knew it was time to raise our voices for those who no longer have a voice. Mental illness is real and more people need to be aware."

Flat River Band Shares Details of New Single

Dennijo described Flat River Band's new single, "Wings of a White Dove," which comes with a video that people would love to watch over and over again while listening to its lyrics.

The music video shows a frustrated wife aiming at her husband before he leaves to go to work. She throws everything she sees at her partner while he sits and smokes a cigarette.

According to Dennijo, the video was the fruit of his love for dark comedy.

The proceeds from Flat River Band's new song will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Health to show their appreciation for the spotlight the organization gave to the band.

Aside from their manager and Judd, "Wings of a White Dove" was reportedly inspired by Ferlin Husky's "Wings of a Dove." Chad, who was the first person to start writing the song, said that the track made his brother approve of the idea of the single.
