Blaze Bayley's health is not allowing him to go home yet.
Mark and Christopher Appleton - who handles the concert bookings for Bayley's band - announced in an Instagram post that he would need to undergo a "triple - and possibly quadruple - heart bypass surgery" following his heart attack. Bayley's representatives told fans that his recuperation period would be a long one and could last for months.
The recovery period might take longer as the musician has yet to undergo the surgery he needs.
Blaze Bayley Is Still in the Hospital
A new update regarding Bayley's health status has been released by the Appletons Thursday via Official Blaze Bayley's Facebook page.
The representatives said they have been in contact with the musician, who is said to be in good form. However, he is reportedly yet to get discharged as the foreign Iron Maiden frontman is still waiting for his heart surgery date.
"He's still in hospital & is incredibly grateful for all your messages & comments. Blaze is also so grateful for the support you have given by way of buying merch from our webshop which remains open for business as usual at blazebayleyshop.com," part of the post reads.
Some fans are reportedly asking how to donate instead of buying merch. Although the team wants them to buy the goods instead, they gave him their official Paypal channel where they can send their donations.
Bayley became part of Iron Maiden from 1994 to 1999. He established his own band, Blaze Bayley Band, but had to leave because of financial and health problems.
Blaze Bayley's Health Issues
Before his recent heart attack, the vocalist has been facing several other issues in the past few years.
Bayley particularly became more open about his mental health struggles, telling EonMusic that he struggled to cope with the pressure of being a member of a big band like Iron Maiden. He appeared on the band's albums "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI" before leaving in 1999.
He worked on his last studio album, "War Within Me," in April 2021. He has since released 11 studio albums on his own after his short time with Iron Maiden.
