What was Taylor Swift up to before the announcement of her split from Joe Alwyn?

The news that the famed singer and songwriter had supposedly ended her relationship with her long-term lover broke the internet this weekend.

Now, it has been revealed that she travelled to the UK city of Liverpool to do a music video.

Taylor Swift's new music video is supposed to be inspired by 2022's film "The Batman," starring Robert Pattinson and showing some of its architecture, featuring actress Joey King.

Joey is no new to Taylor, having appeared as a toddler in her 2010 single "Mean."

An insider who spoke to The Sun, "Taylor loves the history of the landmarks and was excited to film somewhere completely different and unexpected."

The "Anti-Hero" singer decided to make a music video using her newfound motivation to do something productive on her break in touring.

Those assisting with the shoot, however, were requested to switch off their phones and sign non-disclosure agreements to guarantee minimal interruption and maximum discretion.

According to the insider, the entire procedure was surprisingly efficient.

Taylor Swift, Joe Alwyn Split

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have chosen to split up after more than five years together.

Taylor and Joe have been together since 2016, and the Grammy winner has frequently acknowledged her love for the 32-year-old Brit in her songs.

Rumors of a breakup between the "Lavender Haze" singer and the British actor have lately circulated.

A source close to the former couple said that the separation was amicable.

Entertainment Tonight reported that "the relationship had just run its course."

Page Six added that they split "a few weeks ago," which explains why Joe was not present at any of Taylor's "The Eras" gigs when she was on tour.

People magazine just heard a different narrative, despite claims to the contrary.

According to an insider, everything was OK between the two, and Joe is very supportive of his partner's job.

"Joe will travel with her on tour when he can. They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career," a source added.

Joe Alwyn Contribution To Taylor Swift Music

Joe Alwyn made history in 2021 when he won his first Grammy as a co-producer on Taylor Swift's "Folklore" album. Joe, writing as William Bowery, worked closely with the vocalist to co-write songs including "Exile," which included Bon Iver, and "Betty."

Taylor Swift's followup album "Evermore" featured her lover as a songwriter and collaborator on "Champagne Problems," a duet of "Coney Island" with The National, and "Evermore," which reunites Taylor with Justin Vernon.
