Bette Midler will perform during King Charles' coronation concert.

Based on reports, the 77-year-old American singer will travel to the UK for the unique live concert on May 7.

According to The Sun, Bette will sing at the free performance for 10,000 people alongside Lionel Richie and Take That.
For the event planners, who reportedly battled to secure talent at the last minute, the appointment will be a relief.

Although it has been challenging to book performers because of their busy schedules and the short notice of the event, a source informed the publication that "bosses are quietly confident that a very special event is coming together."

Bette Midler's inclusion will give the lineup a hint of vintage glitz, which is a significant coup. Bette is honored to be taking part and is ecstatic about it.

Everyone will find something to like because the organizers are going all out to put on a fantastic spectacle.

Bette has a history with the royal family; in 2009 and 2014, she gave performances at the Royal Variety Performance.

She said she used to visit the public library when she was a kid. She remembers seeing a photo of a pretty little girl receiving a crown while flipping through a magazine.

She was so deeply affected by these black-and-white images that she said she was never the same.

Harry Styles, Sir Elton John, Adele, Ed Sheeran, all have the opportunity to sing live at Windsor Castle on May 7, the day after King Charles' official coronation at Westminster Abbey.

However, all have all politely declined.

Due to schedule issues, Adele and Sheeran will be unable to make history at the royal wedding, despite the monarch reportedly personally asking for them to play there.

The day before Charles is crowned, Sheeran, who wrapped up the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant last June, will perform in Texas.

Adele's lucrative Las Vegas residency ends on March 25, but it's rumored that she won't be there for less obvious reasons.

Charles also enjoys Styles, who is now on his worldwide Love On Tour, although his calendar is available from March 26 to May 13. (when he performs in Denmark).

A close friend of the late Princess of Wales Diana, Sir Elton John turned down the chance to play at Windsor Castle.

At one point, it was hinted that Midler would make a guest appearance on "Glee." Bette Midler said in a 2012 interview with Access Hollywood that Glee producer Ryan Murphy told her that she would be on the show, but he never called her back. Before this news came out, there were rumors that Murphy was going to hire Midler and put her in the role of Rachel Berry's (Lea Michele) grandma. People were excited about this news, and it's likely that Midler was as well. However, Midler was never guested.

It looks like Glee's Ryan Murphy dropped the plan without saying anything else about it.
