Mick Mars earned a new supporter after he sued Motley Crue for allegedly removing him from the band and gaslighting him.

In the legal documents he filed at the Los Angeles County's Superior Court on Thursday, Mars said Motley Crue ripped him off financially and fully kicked him off the group following his touring retirement announcement in October. For what it's worth, Mars announced his retirement from performing live as he suffers from the effects of his decades-long battle with ankylosing spondylitis.

Mars claimed that Motley Crue forced him to sign a severance agreement in exchange for a compensation package - which, for him, deemed insultingly low. Through that, he would not longer be part of the band's current and future businesses.

Following the filing, former Judas Priest member K.K. Downing shared his thoughts in a message he sent to Blabbermouth on Saturday.

According to Downing, he sympathizes with Mars because he is also going through the same thing.

"And it's pretty unsavory, to say the least. After spending a lifetime building the band's name, reputation, popularity and value, in the particular brand name, it should be all right for people to retire, especially through illness," he went on.

Downing recalled the experience he went through during Judas Priest's Epitaph World Tour. Per the guitarist, he was also pressured to write an EP to support the tour as it was aimed to have him finish his career with an album.

Instead of doing it, he sent a retirement letter in.

He also alleged that Rob Halford, Ian Hill, and Glenn Tipton kicked him off as the director of Judas Priest Music Limited, which controls the band's assets. Although he had 25 percent shares in the company, the members reportedly said what he had did not have a value - something he tagged ridiculous.

The musician added in the interview that he decided to break his silence to let other musicians know about the situation and warn them of the possibility of the same experience happening to them.

Downing expressed how much he wanted no one to be in the same position. Unfortunately for him and Mars, they both faced the same fate.

Downing left Judas Priest but returned for a performance with the band at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony in November.
