More musicians are siding with Mick Mars amid his legal battle with Motley Crue.
Mars sued Motley Crue after the band reportedly ripped him off financially, removed him from the band, and gaslighted him since he announced his touring retirement in October.
Several musicians have already broken their silence and supported Mars in his battle, with Journey guitarist Neal Schon as the latest one to offer his defense.
Neal Schon Says Mick Mars Doesn't Deserve The Treatment
On Twitter, Schon joined the poll created by Mitch Lafon. The post asks the users whether they are on Team Mick or Team Motley Crue.
As of press time, the poll already collected 2,855 votes - with 90.2 percent of the responders siding Mars while 9.8 percent are with Motley Crue.
Schon, on the other hand, replied, "Mick" and said that the guitarist did not deserve any of those treatments because of his health issues, contributions to the band, and his unmatched support to everyone.
"Given his health issues, and he obvious swagger, he gives to the band through his guitar playing. He didn't deserve this," the Journey member wrote.
Meanwhile, Nikki Six also said in a Twitter post that the band also does not deserve the lawsuit because of the years they had with Mars. He then wished for him to find lawyers and managers who "aren't damaging him."
As reported by Variety, Mars' attorney said Motley Crue's lawyers warned the guitarist that he would get nothing if he rejects the severance package the band is offering him.
Mars himself also revealed the offer in the lawsuit, saying that it was deemed insultingly low as he would no longer be part of the band's current and future businesses if he signs the agreement.
Schon himself is also feuding with his Journey bandmate, Jonathan Cain, after the former filed a lawsuit claiming that the 72-year-old keyboardist set up the band's American Express card without informing the founding member. However, Cain alleged that it was Schon who personally used the card.
Mick Mars Also Supported by K.K. Downing
Apart from Schon, former Judas Priest member K.K. Downing also shared his support for Mars during his interview with Blabbermouth. He said he sympathizes with Mars because he is also going through the same thing.
Downing particularly recalled his experience at the Judas Priest's Epitaph World Tour during which he was pressured to write an EP to support the tour as it was aimed to have him finish his career with an album.
He forwarded a retirement letter instead.
