The owner of the rental pad Lil Nas X held his party a few months ago has made some shocking revelations in court.
Documents show that one of those accusing him of damaging their Hollywood Hills rental by hosting an unauthorized party allegedly attended the event himself.
Radar Online reported that earlier this year, Daniel Fitzgerald leveled a lawsuit against the "Old Town Road" hitmaker and famous DJ Zedd for allegedly causing damage to his Hollywood Hills home.
According to the complaint, Daniel had explicit rules prohibiting parties at his rental property.
Despite the no-party stipulation, the homeowner made an exception for Lil Nas X and Zedd to organize a massive shindig with more than 1,000 people.
The lawsuit maintained that both artists were reimbursed $250,000 for the event.
It was clear to both artists and the organizers of the April 2022 bash that there had been a ruling against hosting parties, yet they still carried on anyway.
The landlord's celebration made his neighbors so angry that it got him in trouble with the local authorities.
Furthermore, he stated that his property suffered around $25,000 in damage due to the event.
Daniel took legal action after a party at his rental home caused extensive damage to the furniture, walls, and ceilings. He estimated that it cost him $40,000 to put the property back into rentable shape and consequently demanded $1 million as compensation for this loss.
According to the lawsuit obtained by Radar Online, "Defendants, and each of them, willfully disregarded Plaintiff's directive to not have the Event at his Property."
"Defendants, and each of them, maliciously, fraudulently, and oppressively partook in the Event to some degree, and profited off of Plaintiff and the unauthorized use of his Property, causing damage to Plaintiff."
In the latest legal document filed, one of the party promoters for the two celebrities requested that their name be struck from the lawsuit.
The company completely refuted all accusations of any wrongdoing.
Furthermore, it was stated that Daniel was aware of and accepted the activity he is currently suing over.
In addition, they accused him of visiting the scene in question and even taking pictures with Lil Nas X and other people he has claimed were trespassing on his property.
Despite the potential consequences, the landlord chose to host a party in his house.
The response noted that he was aware there could be certain risks associated with this decision.
