Sabrina Carpenter had to cancel her show in Portland due to a worrying reason.

The singer has been visiting several cities as part of her "Emails I Can't Send" tour. It started in Fort Lauderdale on Mar. 16, with the last show happening at Alabama's Hangout Fest.

However, Carpenter had to cancel one of the stops on the spot after a "credible security threat."

What Happened to Sabrina Carpenter's Portland Show?

Rolling Stone received a confirmation from the show's promoter and the police regarding Carpenter's Portland show cancelation.

Per the report, the singer was about to perform at the Keller Auditorium Monday when her show's original venue, Crystal Ballroom, received a "credible security threat." The police said Carpenter decided to change the venue to accommodate more attendees.

Fans were asked to leave the venue an hour before Carpenter's scheduled performance due to the incident, although the threat was made in the initial venue. AEG Presents and Carpenter's team also decided not to push through with the show to ensure the safety of the fans.

Concertgoers were already present in the area after attending her VIP soundcheck and watching Spill Tab before they were asked to exit the venue.

Lieutenant Nathan Sheppard of the Portland Police Bureau told the magazine, "Employees with the Crystal Ballroom called after they received a phone call from an anonymous person claiming they were going to blow up the venue."

The authorities sent extra patrols to both venues because of the threat, but no explosion happened.

She also told her fans they would be refunded at the point of purchase but announced they would reschedule it at a later date.

Carpenter was still able to perform in Seattle on Tuesday. But the Seattle Theatre Group implemented a clear bag policy at the Paramount Theatre in light of the incident. Fortunately, it will not affect any of the singer's future schedules.

She will perform on Saturday at the Warfield, San Francisco.
