Ariana Grande is currently filming the first part of the "Wicked" movie right now, and while everyone is clamoring for her to release new music, the responsibilities on her plate right now are quite daunting.
Playing such an iconic role demands a lot from her as an actress, her time, and in shooting a film, it would also take a toll on one's physical health.
Very recently, Ariana Grande has been the subject of criticism with regard to how she looks "thin" in many of her recent photos. Many people on the internet had asked her to gain more weight as she looked sickly thin, among many other names.
Finally, Grande has broken her silence and addressed all the body shamers in a now-viral video.
Ariana Grande Address Body Shamers
In a three-minute video posted on her social media account, she asked people if they could and encouraged them to be "gentler and less comfortable," commenting on other people's bodies no matter what.
"If you think you're saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is - healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy - we just shouldn't. We should really work towards not doing that as much," she continued.
For her, there are a lot of ways to praise or compliment someone or even to ignore something that one would not like about the other, keeping her point on being safer and keeping each other safe through their words.
People compared Grande to her older body, which she described to be "the unhealthiest" version of her body as she was on a lot of antidepressants and she had poor eating practices by that time.
"I think you're beautiful no matter what you're going through - no matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you've had or not, or anything. I just think you're beautiful and wanted to share some feelings," she added.
Ariana Grande 'Wicked' Movie
Grande is in the midst of the production of "Wicked" as she will be playing Glinda, a role that Tony-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth originated from Broadway. Cynthia Erivo will be playing opposite Grande as Elphaba, the same role that Idina Menzel won a Tony for on Broadway.
The first part of the film will be released in November 2024, while the second one will be on November 25.
